After getting back from a week in Vienna which was actually quite nice and a new experience in some ways, I knew this next week would be a different one because our kids would be out of town. I was looking forward to some fancy cooking, maybe a prolonged visit to the gym or just binging TV series with my wife. Instead, it turns out I'll be alone. So after today, there will be no stressful mornings for 10 days. For four days I'll be left to my own devices, which means I'll try to get in touch with my creativity and try to work as little as possible.
Vienna was interesting. I visited some very historical sites, saw some spectacular buildings, and got further acquainted with how different central Europe is compared to Scandinavia in many ways. There is alcohol, weed smoke and sex clubs everywhere. The food is more diverse but the stores are worse. Working there seems horrible in comparison. I doubt I want to move to any of these places really. Maybe Amsterdam in that case. But I will be visiting if the future permits it. When the kids are no longer a hurdle, I can see myself doing some van life.
