Physical video media

VHS ran its course from 1976 to 1997. That is 21 years. The DVD was launched in 1997 and was the biggest seller until 2009, which is only 12 years. In 2009, Bluray was launched as the main format and is still going strong, apart from not selling as much now that we are streaming video instead. Bluray has been the only player for 16 years now, soon to be the longest running format including VHS, but with a lot less cultural impact. I just thought that was an interesting insight.
